Root First apps removed post root?

Other than Moxier (wich I am sure most of us have removed, beaten, run over a few times and hung from a bridge somewhere), what "locked" apps have you removed?
and why?

timescape, its complete shit, and with the new phone once i root again, itll go again, and all different language keyboard packs as they arent needed

I hate timescape I took it off real quick, the keyboards, facebook, quadrapop or whatever its called, moxie, going to take medascape off too once I find a music player I really like. Oh and youtube also. I think thats about it. I'm reading up on XDA to see if there are any other junk apps/system stuff that I can take off.

OK, I am rooted and have BusyBox and SuperUser installed. So, how do I delete the apps on the internal phone memory? When I go to applications in the settings, only the 3rd party apps so up. So, can someone show me the light at the end of the tunnel.... Thanks!

Press the menu button when in Manage apps, filter, all, and you'll see all the apps you've got installed.

OK, got to where I needed to go, but I still cannot delete them. Superuser and Busybox are installed and Busybox confirms I'm rooted, but I still cannot Delete the internal apparel, such as moxier mail. So how do I go about Deleting the internal apparel???

Maybe try Titanium Backup.

Then in Titanium backup it will confirm you are rooted and have superuser privileges...allows you to view installed apps on both internal and sd card.

Now, just to confirm the apps you are talking about are apps you still have loaded on the phone? They aren't just apps you had installed before an update or upgrade or something?

I have had better luck removing apps with Titanium and if it does throw up an error, maybe it will give you a better reason why it might not be removing.

Maybe the apps you are trying to remove having something to do with your cell providers branding.

What I did was just installed xRecovery....and I installed the Eminence image and loaded that...it had all the fat cut out....none of this stuff -

Chinese Text input, Creatouch, Digital Clock Widget, EManual, Emanual Launcher, Facebook, Face Recognition, Home Launcher, Latin IME, Learning Client, Moxiermail, Music, Officesuite, PC Companion, Playnow/Client/Back/App Installer, Quadrapop, Ringtones, Recent Calls, Status Switch, Semc/Checkin/Setup Wizard/TouchPal Korean Qwerty, Search Widget, Textinput TNG, Timescape/Plugin Manager/Provider/Themes, Track I.D, User Support, uWlop, Wallpaper

I think Titanium might do it for ya.

From what I've gathered Titanium can Freeze the app, but not delete them, therefore they are still consuming storage space, correct? Can you delete apps with Xrecovery? The reference you make to emminence(?spell?), I thought that was only for 2.2 and higher, right? I'm using 2.1...504. So where does that put me?

X10 Eminence 1.2 is a custom theme and a streamlined version of 2.1 that has some junk cut out.

FreeX10 - DarkStyle is a theme for 2.2...that's something different.

I have only tried to remove 2 apps with Titanium. They removed properly. But from what I have read on some of the developer threads, I see that some applications are tied to one another. Like Mediascape and Timescape are joined at the hip....something like the background of mediascape is used in timescape or something...anyways...using that Eminence image was very easy.

But I hear that it is different if you are on AT&T.

That xRecovery app is a boot loader....so right after it shows the Sony Ericsson logo when the phone starts, the next part is when it loads whatever image.

In my case, I used xRecovery to do a backup...I did a current backup of my Rogers phone setup (all the generic 2.1 upgraded stuff...still has all the service provider provided apps on it) Then I did a restore of this image that X10iUser helped create/build/put together...that got me this custom image that I run.

I could always go back to that service provider/Rogers setup if I want, but I don't plan on doing that ever....but if I want, it's there.

Could always load more....or I could make some. I hope that in the future there will be a 2.2 image...and when they have that going it will be as simple as doing a restore of another image.

After I had xRecovery loaded, it took maybe 5 minutes to upgrade to this custom image. And if I ever remove too much or mess with it too much...I could always do a restore again and get the base Eminence back on here again.
