______________

Prorated charge of $17 for 3 days? wtff

This is a $129 family plan with Two evo's (= +$20 premium fee)

My tmobile plan with the nexus one was like $60 + tax = $65. Where does sprint get off justifying $25 in surcharges? Guess I gotta call in too about the activation fee.

$129.99/30 days = $4.33/day
$10.00/30 days = $0.33/day (x2 phones = $0.66/day)
Jun 4, Jun 5, Jun 6, Jun 7 = 4 days

Therefore:
4 days x ($4.33/day + $0.66/day) = $19.96 (Sprint is doing better by my calculations)

And most likely $22 for surcharges is for 2 months (June and July).

I just noticed the same thing i am paying $20 a month in surcharges and taxes. That sound like a bit much my att was $8

mine was $270 with only one Evo...

but i just merged my account with my moms so add $20, then take off 23% and split 3 ways and i'd say i'm golden...even with pro-rated charged =P

When I first came to Sprint I had to pay for two months of service. Don't know if that's changed or not.

Call Sprint I did on the first bill got my activation wavied on both lines that is 36 per line 72 in total. The other fees are percentages of your total bill. Call them today if not today then before the 30 day mark.

surcharges are you city/state/etc... TAXES .. online you click that will show you what the surcharges are.. it varies by location

Well, actually, the SPRINT surcharges aren't taxes; they are charges for paying taxes that Sprint decided to "pass along" to its wonderful customers.

This is not to say that Sprint is the only one to do this. It is just that I find the charges repugnant.

E.g.:

Federal-Univ Serv Assess Non-LD............................................................ $4.33
California State-PUC User Fee ................................................................ $0.20
Administrative Charge ........................................................................... $4.95
Regulatory Charge ................................................................................ $2.00
TOTAL $11.48
