It's so hard to tell what people mean by "bricked" nowadays.
They used to always talk about "bricked" Blackberries on Crackberry.com (and Android phones on AllDroid.org), but what they meant was a phone that had the operating system so screwed up (or missing) that the phone wouldn't boot, which is NOT the definition of "brick", since they provided a relatively simple fix to get things working again. Well then the phone wasn't bricked!
I'm assuming they're using the definition correctly, meaning the phone is toast for good (as useful as a brick)...which sucks.
