First CES info on Verizon new androids.

Never ever said you did. But you will not sway me that it is one of many factors in the evaluation of a phone. The Droid was uncomfortable to use for a long call, the Eris is not. And I am certain at least a couple of people would agree with me even though you don't.
I never said that you said you did. :D
I understand the whole issue with holding it to your ear, I could see that being a problem.
I just don't see how people consider a phone "heavy"..

It's a relative thing not an absolute measure. It's heavy compared to...

XD Wow you're easily ticked. T'was a joke.
The Droid is heavier than the Eris, fact, but it should never be a factor in whether to get it or not.

Never be a factor to you. You cannot decide what makes someone else comfortable.

To me, the Droid feels lighter and cheaper. Less solidly built. It feels uncomfortable and awkward to hold.

Yes, you can avoid using the slide-out keyboard, but you cannot get over that it won't lock shut and feels like it's going to slide open at any time.

For some, this won't bother them.

i got the impression from using my friends that the droid is built really solid. and it didnt cross my mind that the slide-out keyboard would slide open? maybe over the course of time theyve fixed that? sometimes its better to wait a bit for the unit to be modified if needed instead of getting it the first day. but i didnt see any of these problems. also, it didn't feel like a pillow against my head but it wasn't 'uncomfortable' when i made a call. it felt sorta like... a phone.

That would make one of these down right dangerous!

Imagine all the broken arms and dislocated shoulders our ancestors had to endure.

ok... </sarcasm> :p

In the big picture, I can't imagine anyone saying to themselves, "UGH! This thing is uncomfortably heavy." about any cell phone.
