First Class U.S. Postage Going Up

First class U.S. postage is currently 68 cents. It's going up to 73 cents on July 14, 2024

I remember how rude it seemed when the postage rate went to a nickel per oz. After all, it was a 25% increase from the four cent standard. Maybe with the increase they can afford to put my mail in my box and my neighbor's mail in their box.

I remember my father buying a roll of one hundred 5 cent stamps for $5.00

who mail things these days? i can't remember the last time i mailed something in an envelope. i have used UPS and Fedex, but those are usually for returns from Amazon.

We still mail Christmas cards. We have a townhouse and a monthly HOA fee that has to be mailed in. I also have a couple of bill that I mail in due to a $4 fee if I pay it online. Like this:

Everything else is paid online or thru an app

Forgot to mention Property Tax mailed in twice a year.

Yeah I just pay it monthly bundled into the mortgage payment
