Accessories First day with Seidio 1750 and noticeable difference

Phone started up at 8:30 with a full charge and I am at 60% right now with usage consisting of two email accounts pushing every 5 mins, about 30 texts, some internet usage, 5 phone calls totalling about an hours worth of time.

I have also been opening a few PDF's and used the blue tooth in the car.

I would say this is a medium usage day as my phone time has been less when not travelling.

If this is what I can expect with this battery it is more than fine since I was charging the stock battert at 3:00PM yesterday.

LOL

I am aware of the alleged voltage claims, however, its absolutely an improvement and it doesnt require me to get a large case or somehow alter the one I have.

Very true. It should be known that it is an improvement over stock. However, a similar improvement can be had for $15 (official HTC battery) instead of the $40 plus shipping or whatever they're charging for that battery these days.

To be honest (and I have no doubt in what Dustin discovered at all) I had been using the Sedio 1750 but went and got the HTC 1500 battery based on the price and after 2 weeks, I can say that the Seidio still gives me several hours more life than the HTC 1500...a good 4 or 5 hours actually.

I too got my Seidio for $30

I believe that you believe that. However, since numbers hardly lie and Dustin's tests were carried out very methodically... there's no way that additional 5-10mA that the Sedio offers can give you another 4-5 hours of battery life. Simple fact.

So, there's two things that can be going on here. Either Dustin's tests were flawed in some way (bad Seidio batteries, really good HTC battery, etc) or there is the human perception factor (aka placebo).

I'll let everyone form their own opinion on what they think is going on.

I am gonna stick with the Seidio. I have heard similar stories about the 1500.

+1 i got mine for $30. I noticed that the battery did not get better till about the 3rd time i charged it now i can go all day at work without charging it. one of the best investments.

on a side note i did the leaked 2.2 updated and with the new install i only droped %25 today. tomorrow i will do some "heavy use" and see what happens but i like it. cant wait till the offical comes out. :D

Have used the Seidio for ~6 weeks now, and my battery life went to $hit in the last few days with no changes whatsoever to my phone. I'm talking worse than the stock battery bad.

I got the Seidio 1750 with my phone on ebay. Lasts a full day with about average usage during the day and heavy wifi internet surfing at night never going below 40%.

All batteries. It's a software controlled issue by design (that's why you have to shut the phone off to get a full charge - also shuts down the software).

I also got a Seidio on Ebay for $32 with free shipping. I must admit that my battery life now is much better than the stock battery.
Although I do miss when I take the back off seeing all red.

That's It! THAT'S why HTC/Verizon only put a 1300maH battery in the phone! It is so you can take that back off to replace the battery with another and see the pretty red insides on a regular basis!!!

I am a getting two to 3 days or normal use from my stock htc battery. I haved ordered the body glove hard kick stand case and desk charger for it as well as the 1750 seido as i didnt want to play find a case to for the 2150mh battery game. I will say this after day three of total charge and bump charge the battery really performs well and just gets better with use. I do use app killer religiously though as soon as you open your wifi or sattelite these other apps turn on and your power gets sucked. It did recently go 4 days on standby with very little use and no charge. These phones are slippery and a case is just a gotta have. I also got the droid verizon screen protector as well. If you dont trim it a bit they suck but once trimmed a small amount it works flawlessly

See you sound a little dismissive of what I am saying! Have you ever seen me make outlandish statements or comments? Ever??

Assuming you are just trying to be helpful, I hear what you are trying to say...This is my personal phone (I'm also burdened by a work phone) and I am very routine with it and my usage does not vary or fluctuate. The simple facts as you say, are that the my Seidio last a good 4-5 hours longer than the HTC 1500 I have.

I applaud Dustin on all the work he did and there is a very good chance all he says is accurate and I'm not discounting your statements because a lot of what you said does go on when we all discuss batteries, but there is nothing placebo about it. The Seidio just last longer.

A few months ago they were running one of their "24 hour internet specials". They do that from time to time.

It could be a case, a battery, etc...

I had my Eris at the time and I just happened to see the post on the forum one morning so I ordered it.

EDIT: And before I forget, it is the type where they do a promotion code. Basically, they will post the one day sale with the promo code and you would enter it at check out.

Do a search on the user SeidioSedio as I believe he/she is the one that posts the promo's!

Hope that helps!

I've used both and I liked my Seidio battery very much better then my TP2 saying that if I would have had to pay full price the extra 1-2hrs I was getting at the end of the days wasn't worth it but I got mine for $25 .
I'm thinking I'm going to be selling my 2150 to get the Seidio 3500
