Finally! We have all the US providers on board and more Note 2 Bros/Sis' to participate in the threads!

Just wanted to drop in and say congrats to all on Verizon!

That said, there have been a few likes/dislikes mentioned before, but wanted to give a heads-up for those of you that text message a lot (and are not coming from a previous Samsung phone that did this as well). There is no way, with the OEM settings, to prevent the phone from waking up on every text message you receive. I've read through multiple threads about it and it seems to be a Samsung deal. Anyhow, for those of you that don't want your phone to be waking up (while in your pocket/purse), I found an app that prevents the phone from waking up on text messages. Ironically, it was initially made so that the phone would wake up on every text message (Can you say battery drain?).

And if you're wondering, my screen on time ever since adding this app has been WAY better than the first couple weeks of having my phone always turning on for every text message (I have a few people I follow on twitter that sends me text message alerts, so that didn't help either).

Enjoy the phone!
