First impressions

if you had the old commando, and you dont get this one, i feel liek you're doing yourself a sincere disservice... the old commando is OLD.... 800mhz 512 ram.... cmon, if you still using it you crazy! ive been using mine a few days now, used titanium back up to cut out a bunch of the crapware, things are great!

id give it a 8.9 outta 10 overall im not too happy about the battery life, but that could be my use of apps etc.. i was hoping not to charge every day... maybe with the extended battery this will cometo be.

coming from 2.3.3 to 4.0 is insane...
bt works 10x better, i used to have skips and stutters with the c771

really happy with the purchase.
 
Much happier since I got the extended battery and cradle. Now it easily lasts 2 days, and I don't worry about the flimsy port cover. I have never had a freeze. The once or twice it has started to slow down, I realized I hadn't rebooted in over a week and a simple reboot fixed that. The first time I tried to use the gps feature it was a bit weak, but I have had no problems with it since, and I have been getting 5 bars in the area that it missed the first day (may have been a satellite glitch) It is definitely accurate to just a foot or two.
 
Ok, I've read enough! I'm going during lunch today grab one while they're free. Curiously, they still sell the old one for $99:p

I'll also give the Kyo Hydro ELite a look while I'm there but user reviews for it and it's siblings are not encouraging.
 
Have had mine for almost two weeks. This thing rocks! I really like how fast(er) this one is compared to the last version. Now that it's rooted it has tons more internal memory, which was the downfall of the other commando.
My only issue, which is minor, is the tactile button does not bring up glove mode and I cannot select the camera if I wanted to change its function. Its simply not available in the menu.
 
I've had it in my sticky hands for 5 days and I feel certain I've made the right choice. It's like night and day compared to the last one. BUT, like others have mentioned, the dock is hard to come by. You'd think they'd make at least half as many docks as they do phones since it's only logical that you'd not want to pop the charging port plug open every night.
