Help First post, first time EVO user

Just purchased a Evo 4G a few days ago and wanted to say a few quick things about the battery. First off my first day/night I performed many of the power saving functions and went to bed with an unplugged full charged phone anyway less then 9 hours later. I woke up with the phone blinking needing a charge.

Then that day I searched this site up and down for more ideas including conditioning the battery and task killer not task manager. Evertime I was done will a call, I killed all apps and hit the button on the top of the phone to put it to sleep. Now saturday morning 130 am I took my phone off the charger it lasted till one hour ago when I had 15% battery life left. Thats 5 hours shy of 2 full days. Mind you this was with minimal internet usage less then a dozen texts and about 18 phone calls. Not a typical day but if it will last from 6AM till 10PM I will be happy.

BTW anyone from Queens NY who roots phones??

Suggest you post further in the battery thread - plenty of people will see you there and help you - but read the top post first and look for suggestions.

Lose the task killing. It's not doing what you think, and it's getting you no where.
