First Smartphone (Droid 3)

I upgraded my phone from a Samsung Reality to a Droid 3 during Verizon's BOGO sale. My tracking number says it will be here tomorrow. Since I am a first time user, what are some great apps/tips I should know about?

One question I do have about this device though. Does it have an LED notification light for notifications?

Yes, it has a notification light which works well.

Some great apps...hmmm. I guess this is all subject to opinion of course but here's a list of mine:

1. Locale - turns radios on/off based on time and/or location (great battery saver). In addition can change volumes of ringer, notifications, etc.
2. Handcent - sms replacement with many features though the D3 comes with a fairly adequate sms app.
3. PowerAMP - my most favorite music player that is top notch quality
4. Weatherbug - what can I say? hard to have a smart phone without a decent location based weather app!
5. Sweet Home - uploads your pictures automatically to a network location
6. Netflix - if you have an account
7. Tango - video calling (cross platform)

There's more, but that's a quick list. Hope you enjoy!

Can I download this app to be able to customize the ringer and LED light, but still use the native messaging app?
