First Smartphone

[DaveD(SK)]

Hi everyone,
Just bought and HTC Incredible S yesterday. Did lots of research on the phones available through my provider (Sasktel) and my choices were HTC IS, Galaxy S Vibrant and iphone4, they all had features I liked and disliked.

So far I am not overly impressed with the software, seems way less intuitive than the iphone but I hope it just a learning curve and this forum will help me through. Downloaded Swype last night and I sure like it.

Welcome to the Android Forums!

Less intuitive than the iPhone? That's an interesting perspective... thanks! I personally find the opposite to be true but each of us has a different perspective.

I totally understand your point. iPhone, to me, seems a bit more intuitive than android at first. Point well stated. However, imo, android is far more flexible in what you can do with it as a tool. I guess it's a trade-off.

To be fair to android, I'm on a leaked version of 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) and it's smooth and veeerry intuitive. It's the closest thing I've seen to the smoothness of iPhone. Also, we have a LOT more free apps in the market! I like free.
