First Text Always Fails - Newbee Needs Help.

Hi,

My first post here and it's a help one please.

After having BB's for a few years I recently changed to Android. Best move I made. (Samsung Galaxy W).

I have now noticed I have an issue with text messaging. When I turn the phone on, send a text, the first one to any number will always fail. If I type it and send it again it will send. It always happens only with the first text when I tunr the phone on.

It's not a signal issue. I have deleted all txts and tried that. I have tyrned off phone, removed battery and turned back on. Again always the first txt fails.

It seemed to happen when I was out of the UK in Germany for a couple of days. Now back to the UK and I have this problem.

I'm on version 2.3.5. Is it an idea to do a software update? if so how? I am using a Linux Ubuntu PC.

Any help appreciated please.

I am on 2.3.6 and i still have the problem..
Updating is easiest when doing it on the phone, over wifi..

Sorted

You need to go into Manage Apps, then Text Messaging, then clearing data and cache.

turned off, turned back on and sent a txt and the first one was sent.

Mine used to do this on 2.3.5. but hasn't done it since I upgraded to 2.3.6
