First Thing to do...

Hi,
I have order and got a brand new Desire HD. What is the first thing I should do? What is the first app I should install and what is the first customisation I should do?

Start by reading this forum, so you would know that questions like these have already been asked and answered :s

cheers

El Kroket, why be so short? This person has a new phone, probably isn't too familiar with the forum, and just wanted to ask. The thread already exists, why post a snarky reply?

Enjoy your new phone! Best thing to do is just have a play around and see what kind of customisation options you have. Once you familiarise yourself with it, you might want to check out some of the more advanced options, mentioned in the thread above.

There are so many excellent apps out there for you to enjoy! Just surf the market and see what you come accross. The user reviews are usually a pretty good indication of quality.

First thing to do is go through the setup, get all your accounts linked to the phone. If you can import all your contacts to your gmail/google account beforehand this will help

Then install Launcher Pro, far more customisation than HTC Sense

The get Zedge app , get yourself ringtones and wallpapers

Then get yourself some apps, I recommend:

Games: Forest Runner, Angry Birds, Slice It
Music: Winamp, Tune In Radio, BeyondPod
Info: Livescore (Footy Scores)

This is a post from last week : http://androidforums.com/htc-desire-hd/269699-just-got-desire-hd-what-can-i-do-first.html which is if I'm not mistaking exactly the same question. All I'm saying is that every forum usually has rules (like checking if your question hasn't already been asked before). Don't get me wrong I love to help out people wherever I can, but people should learn to do some effort, in my opinion it's more respectful.

Cheers
