I don't know if that is the right name, but Hi! From sunny rural Sri Lanka. Well not quite sunny, at the moment, and not that rural, a main artery runs through our property which is a 42 acre coconut plantation, that is being restored after years of neglect. The first thing to do was to let the land lay fallow, after ploughing it and spread minerals through out it to feed the micro-organisms.
Now we have built a bio-digester, from which we hope to obtain sufficient methane to run a boiler to generate steam. The steam will be fed in to a Green Steam engine which in turn will run a 5kW generator. The exhaust steam will be passed through pipes to heat a sealed dryer filled with shredded coconuts. This coconut is then pressed to obtain virgin coconut oil. Well that's the plan!
