Root Fission 2.3???

Now that the full SBF and leak are both in the wild, I'd guess a lot of the ROM makers will be swapping their efforts in that direction.

I just wiped Titanium clean, and am in the process of backing all my user apps now, to take the plunge.

Time for Fission 2.3, and RubiX 1.90.

Flashed Fission 2.3 last night, only issue I had was that the video camera locked up on me and I had to reboot. No other issues at this point and it has not happened again. I did some of the addons and they all seem to work fine. Didn't need any of the hotfixes that were posted. I have to say I like the script running of ApeX better than having to download addons. IT has been completely stable at 1.35 GHZ ULV.

It's funny that people run a custom ROM that's OC'd, and at ULV, and have no issues, when Moto just intentionally bumped up the stock voltages to fix re-boots happening while using the stock ROM.

If that's not a sign that bootloaders shouldn't be locked, or that Moto sucks at designing their software, I don't know what is.

The ULV setting is actually higher than stock, it's just lower when compared to the other settings.

Spent the morning getting to the newest bootloader, using the new SBF, and installing Fission 2.3. Everything works amazing. And when I SBF'd and went back to blur I could not believe how shitty, slow and bloated the whole phone seemed. The difference is incredible.

=? not sure about leak any suggestions?? My phone is running really good...so now sure what is the difference? or what am I going to get by doing the leak or full leak??

few more of you guys go first and let me know how it goes....;)....lol.....

That's the million dollar question.

Anyways, RubiX and Fission, among others, appear to be headed to the leak version, so I'm going to follow just for that reason.

That is the case if you are using an OC app and its stock settings for OCing however that is not the case with my setting. Still have not had any issues.

I've been considering it. I just moved to ApeX 1.0.2 (1.2 for 2.3.15) and couldn't be happier with the setup. Might just chill for a little while.

I had been using Fission for the past month or so.

LOL my phone gets flashed more than a bead thrower at Mardi Gras.

i just flashed ApeX 1.2 yesterday after the new SBF. gonna give Fab a run for a while before going back to fission. so far it is a great rom.

Let me know if you phone gets on fire... :D if not then I might do the update leak...

I moved to the leak last night from Fission 2.2. I went for Tranq 3.5 first, and didn't really like it, then switched to Fission 2.3.

Phone has been running great so far.

Pondering the move...reluctant cause I've never sbf'd, let alone on a new update.

Gingerbread keyboard from Pete w/ Fab fix for dictionary works :), just install both no need to reboot in between.

It isn't the case with mine either, I was just letting him know that the ULV setting, in the app, is not lower than the stock DX voltage.

I upgraded to 2.3.320 and was using Tranquility 3.5, then I decided to give Fission 2.3 a go and followed the directions to the letter, and its a great build. Amazingly fast, none of the Blur Bloat that slows the DX down.

I looking forward to their progression, I know Tranquility 3.5.1 is based on 2.3.340 but I have my DX all set up so I am going to ride it out a bit and see what Team DeFuse does with 2.3.340 and Fission.

From Angdroid (Dev):
Whats coming? Over the next few days there will be a refresh of Fission DX 2.3, it just includes the latest fixes including market fix, exchange update, phone mute fix and what ever other fixes were released. Fission D2 2.3 will also be available which is the same updates as the original and refreshed DX 2.3.

Fission ROM Mananger Lite & Full have undergone some chnages. You can now install ROMs and any other Add Ons from within Fission ROM Manager (FRM). After downloading your ROM and add on packages you can select each one to be installed automatically from FRM. So you would select the ROM as the first install and then whatever packages you want installed during ROM install. You will also have an option to create back up, wipe cache and wipe cache + data. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6JXFcQVWfI check out a short video there.

All install scripts for ROMs and packages have been updated so no need to mount system and/or data any more for those that still want to install through recovery.

Redesign of Team DeFuse - Bringing you the FIRST Android Vanilla ROM to Droid2 and DroidX! with forums will be released this week too.

Don't forget to check out the ROMs & Themes page for Team DeFuse Got Root? T-Shirts. The finall touches are being designed now and the first shipments will be sent out this weekend. You can get one by making a donation of $25 or more. Which also includes a license for all future Fission Software that will appear on market over the next few weeks. This is a life time subscription for whatever devices we will be creating for in the future.

This is exciting news. Their doing a great job. I just made the switch back from apex 1.2 to fission 2.3 with the leak. Phone was running lagging when going back to the screen on apex and its doing the same on 2.3. Anyone else seeing any lag when going back home. I'm using LPP FWIW. I did the leaked update > Tranq3.5 > apex 1.2 > fission 2.3. And followed the appropriate directions for all.
