Root Fix carrier (and boot logo) on rooted LS740ZV4 ROM

OK, so it doesn't actually fix the no carrier issue, it just masks it.

Pretty much you are manually doing what the phone should have done upon activation as far as setting carrier branding.

Haven't figured out what causes the phone to not properly set the carrier. I know it has to do with flashing the zv3 tot but not sure what's missing yet.

I don't know but it's more than cosmetic... Google even lists the phone as no carrier in the dashboard and store.

I love my no carrier ROM, i can edit build.prop if i want to but i liked the gravitybox/locker master combo i did with mine, it works for me but to each his own

To fix boot animation...

Using root file explorer go into /system/media and rename bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak

Then rename the appropriate carrier boot animation to bootanimation.zip

Same thing for shutdown animation

Thanks for the tip, but that didnt work for my Boost phone with ZV4. I had to copy the desired bootanimation.zip from /system/media to /carrier/cust/poweron, and the desired shutdownanimation.zip to /carrier/cust/poweroff. It looks like the startup and shutdown sounds need to go into those folders also.

Interesting.. My Volt is on Boost and it worked perfectly fine for me. Not sure why you would have to copy them over.
