G'Day all,
This one annoyed me for a while until I stumbled across a solution that worked for me. So I figured I'd post this in case anyone else gets the same issue.
My problem was that I would get a Force Close of com.htc.sdm whenever I tried to set the ringtone... e.g. by pressing menu then selecting Ringtones. I think this issue was caused by using a soundboard application to set a ringtone, and then uninstalling that app. I was stuck on a crappy default ringtone after that.
The solution I found was to touch the personalise button and then select Sound set. Select HTC Default 2010 and then touch Apply. After that I could edit my ringtones normally.
Hope this helps someone!
