Root *FIXED*home button not responding

so the home button on my motion doesn't do what it was meant to do which is take me to my home screen whether it be in game or in goggle play i always have to hit the back screen..which can get pretty annoying at times specially when i dont want to exit my game completely.just look up something or send a text.:stupido2:iv tried rebooting like 20 times,iv cleared defualts,iv removed all the 3rd party launchers,i got rid of the 3rd party lock screen apps,i disconnected the battery for 10 min noting seems to work.it only vibrates when i activate the vibrate on touch but thats about it.:banghead: so was wondering if any of you guys have this issue and if i could get a fix it for it.. i will gladly thank who ever gives me the fix it..:idea: p.s i am rooted

backup all ur data and factory reset if that does not work then use the unbrick guide

Take it back to metro if you can. Unroot it and factory reset it. Follow the tutorial.

You could use the soft key mod

Try reinstalling a custom launcher that allows customizable binding, and resetting the home key to its default function. Even though you uninstalled your custom launchers, maybe they changed a system file that persists after uninstall.

i knew deep down that thats what it might have had to come to which did after i did everything else that was recommended i ended up unrooting it and rooting it again which fixed the problem but get this once i restored all my data the problem came back..:banghead: so in a fit of rage :viking: i hit factory reset with out unrooting it.thinking if it bricks i dont care ill unbrick it to my surprise its did not brick didnt lose root access either.of course all the data i had restored was erased and all the apps all but S.U had poofed..anyways ended up just restoring the game apps and there data plus root tools and said f to the rest because something in the rest of the data was causing my home button to not work.:smokin: what it was i do not know but its gone now and the problem is fixed arty: and as promised i have thanked you for giving me the winning solution..:rock:
