Help Flap next to front facing camera lens?

Is that half circle/crescent moon-shaped thing supposed to be next to the front facing camera lens or is it just my unit? I just noticed it today.

Do you think it would warrant a trip to the store for repair? I would have to pay and some techs say that phones that are opened up won't be 100% as far as fitment is concerned ie small gaps here and there.

I don't think you would have to pay for that. That's a mistake on their part and they managed to let that thing get sold. You deserve to have that fixed for free or replaced.

It's well past the 30 days and I didn't opt for the insurance though. I didn't notice it till last night. I'll chat with sprint later today and see.

It would be covered under the manufactures one year warranty.

How would the manufactures rebate work? Send it in to Samsung? I'm at a Sprint store now and they say unless somethings wrong now, besides looks, their insurance won't cover it.

Well there is something wrong with it. Part of your front facing camera's lens is being covered up by the crescent moon shaped obstruction. It's defective, so tell them you want a new one.

I'll see if Samsung can let me keep mine until i get the new one in the mail
