Hello, I am trying to flash firmware to my xt901. I download the file and unzipped it. I could not see the file when I tried to restore it with TWRP. Any help is appreciated.

That did not work, The only thing I can flash is CM 10.2...unofficial. All other roms fail with this error

E:Unknown File System: 'datamedia'
Updating Partition details...
Installing '/external_sd/(my rom)
Checking for MD5file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
Error flashing zip '/external_sd/(my rom)

Can you link us what it is you're trying to flash? If it's truly a stock firmware package, it may not be flashable in recovery.

That first link is .XML files so were you trying to flash those with RSD Lite?

The roms in the 2nd link I can't say much about. Several of them are nightlies so they may be experimental. And I've honestly never heard of that site. Not sure if XDA has any roms for your device but could be worth checking if you haven't already.

Yes mokee is a custom ROM site offer custom ROMs for all devices with android software with the proper custom recovery. They are based off of cyanogenmod . now that's not a firmware . that is a custom ROM and may require you to do something such as upgrade a kernel to flash that ROM or any KitKat ROM . what you can do is flash a cm 10 rc or stable release I think you have the wrong 8960 try the other one

Mokee is a custom ROM from China. Although it's based on CM, there are some things in it that are of more interest to Chinese, like included input methods and a lunar calendar.

You forgot the China play store :D:p . but the ROM performance can go both ways meaning you can use the american g apps or the mokee apps . performed very well to me on droid bionic and a few others . I think op flashed the wrong device .

In the OP you mentioned you own a xt901. But the screenshot seems to show an xt907. Which do you have or are they cross compatible?

I know very little about Moto so there's better help out there than myself but I'm wondering if you need to install specific drivers for your device to achieve recognition.

I have an xt901, but it is recognized as a xt907. They are the same hardware, but they have different radio firmware. I installed Motorola drivers 6.3.0. I get a message asking what to do when I plug it in. DFS doses not recognize the device either. I have even tried to get the computer to recognize it when it is in fastboot and BP Tools.
