Root Flash cm7

I think I would reccomend to backup cm7,then flash the rooted ota and verify that 3g is working there. You may in fact have a tower issue.

Do full wipe(data/cache/dalvik) and flash that. Its basically a rooted version of the most current firmware.

Its good to have a backup of that ready to go anyway. Just in caze :)

I have this ROM going and it looks good. I still can't get barnacle or wireless tether to work on it. For that matter, I haven't been able to get wireless tether to work with ANY ROM since I rooted. I feel like an idiot, what am I doing wrong? I tried barnacle direct from the market and a few different versions, including the most recent version 3 beta of wireless tether. Anyone have any advice to solve this? Loving this ROM otherwise, very stable.

Wireless Tether works fine for me. Try stopping and restarting after you start tethering. It never works on the 1st try for me ;)

should i flash the rom and radio, or just the rom from that link?

and after i do that, backup the rooted rom, then flash the previous rom i had?

Just the rom your radio doesn't change when you flash a rom. First try to see if 3g is working on that rom if it is then do a clean install of CM7

Scotty, thanks, that worked. However, I can now connect to my phone and see the network, but I get limited connectivity notification. I noticed that since I have Windows XP that I have to intall a file to get it to work. Man, this should be easier than it is.

Another glitch I seem to be having since flashing this ROM last night is that I can't seem to open any apps that I've purchased from the market, including titanium backup pro, which is a problem! I upgraded the market and even stopped it and cleared data in the applications menu.

I couldn't get them to open, I could see them in the market, but there was no option to open them. Also, in my appdrawer, they didn't even show up.

I ended up installing titanium backup free version which I was able to open. I did a restore and then was able to open up titanium backup pro to run market doctor. Sheesh that was a pain.

I installed them in the market but couldn't see them in my app drawer or open them directly from the market. After doing a restore from titanium I now have everything working.

so i flashed the rooted rom and am having the same issue, so maybe it is the tower or something. my phone showed 3g for a few seconds, but was so weak it did nothing and switched off.

i guess i will have to call verizon and troubleshoot with them the issue. But good news is i dont think it was a rom issue. is it possible it is a radio issue with the radio i just flashed?

and do you guys think i should wait to troubleshoot with VZW with the rooted rom, or just flash cm7 now?

Troubke shoot with the stock rom for sure.

If you checked md5 of radio before flashing, its not the radio. If you didnt check it,check it now. If it doesn't match consider yourself lucky it works at all

Yeah that is correct for the radio.

Is the battery door of your phone snapped on well? This seems like it would be hardware failure not software with all you have done.
