its the same lite version, flash worked fine in 1.5

the new flash that is supposed to be out before the year is over is full flash support version 10.

And 10.1 will not work on the Eris, for now. Who knows if they will modify it to work on older processors.

This is a newer version of Flash then what came with 1.5... you can do a lot more with this player. As noted above there is a flash lite version and also Flash Player 7. Not sure if that compares to v7 on PC or not. Games play pretty well on facebook and other flash game sites. That is something you forsure could not do on 1.5
