Root flash over existing ROM (same ROM)

I'm still having the issue of WEB, contacts, and other apps self closing. I can't pinpoint exactly why they close, but they just randomly do. They never close while in use, but if I return to an opened app it sometimes has to "reload" to open.

I'm using NERO V5 right now, and I'd like to re-flash a fresh copy to my phone. Do I need to disable voodoo? Do I just reflash like I did originally from stock to this ROM?

okay, I reflashed NERoV5 and STILL apps close whenever they feel like it.
Is this FROYO's way of app management?

Guess I'm trying another ROM...
 
Thx DVNO for your reply! I did flash Axura 2.2.7.1 . No problems with the flash at all. Flashed right over voodoo.

BUT!!! My apps are closing AGAIN ! I'm at the end of my rope here. I can open up task manager, and actually WATCH them close sometimes. The end button will blink red and the cpu usage will go up, and BANG.. closed! I'm so sick of having to reopen apps that I had opened 2 minutes ago.

If ANYONE has a suggestion, I'm all ears. I like both NERO and Axura, but if I can't get them to stop random app shutdowns, they are both useless.
I'm considering ODIN to stock kernal and a complete retry..
It amazes me that NOONE else has had this issue. I've googled it and searched these forums for 2 days now, reflashed NERO twice, Axura, and back to NERO only to WATCH apps closing.
 
Just thought I'd post this so anyone who reads can offer an explaination..

I used ODIN and flashed back to original Vibrant ROM. No problems at all during installation. The stock rom works like it always did, but I noticed apps such as WEB, YOUTUBE and SOUNDHOUND stayed ON, when I hit the home button and opened other apps. Upon returning to those apps that were opened only a minute ago, they immediately popped up in running state, as they always do! (Unless I force close them in task manager.)
Figuring I had this "app closing issue" resolved by starting with a stock rom, I rooted the device, downloaded a fresh copy of NERO V5/w TW and put the .ZIP on my INTERNAL SD card for flash. I followed all instructions to the letter, and watched a perfect flash take effect.
I let the device sit for a while then rebooted. After going through all the GOOGLE signing in malarky, I open WEB, Contacts, and YOUTUBE. I then watched a quick music video on youtube, hit the HOME button, hit WEB, and it had to reload all over again! WHY ARE MY APPS SHUTTING DOWN IF NOT IN USE??????

Could I have a hardware problem? Is there anyway I can force apps NOT to close when in idle state?

I'm having the same exact problem. I don't think its hardware related because out was working fine with 2.1. It must have to do with froyo but how come noone else is having the same problem.
