Anyone else managed to get flash working alongside Firefox. I have flash working fine with dolphin but it just causes Firefox to crash straight away and I need it to work with Firefox as I use the flash video downloader add on all the time.
The flash and Firefox combo works perfectly on all my other devices apart from the hudl.

i would like to know about flash player too i run opera web browser and iwant flash player to play video on facebook mainly.

on a pc you need flash player to play video on youtube yet theres an app for that on the hudl so go figure??

im sure theres someone who can explain why this is

Go to settings, security and check the box that allows installation from sources other than the play store.
Now download and install http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.81/install_flash_player_ics.apk
Now go to the play store and install boat browser, now go and find the flash app in the app list and open it, it will ask you which browser you want to open it with so choose boat, flash should then load up on screen and voila it is installed.

i dont want boat whatever that is i like my opera browser

but thanks for the info its good to know that i need to go in and tell it to let me to install things from other sources i didnt know that it does that.

You don't have to keep boat browser although it is a decent browser, I have just found that it works well when getting flash up and running. Once flash is installed it will then work on all supporting browsers.

theres usually 2 versions of flash which does boat fall into ? i think it goes IE and firefox and then opera and safari.

As far as I am aware there is just Windows and android flash players although loads of different versions for different versions of each operating system, boat obviously falls into android and you want the latest version for android 4.0 which is the one I linked to.

there is definitely 2 on a windows pc because i install one for opera and if for any reason i need to use IE (usually to check something if opera isnt responding or something like that) and view something which requires flash player i have to install the other one.

well i see how it is now i managed to get flash player for android from the archives and installed it. it worked once on my browser but it keeps telling me i need to update it now which i cant

nah its the same on chrome and that boat.

im told to get something called html5 for playing vids on fb so im going to try that next. i think its a newer alternative to older flash player. I will update once ive tried it. btw supposed to be available in play store

opera is a very good browser (on my pc anyway) one of the most secure considering its not run of the mill like firegox chrome and IE its not targeted the same

still no joy :( but i found a quick way to view video on fb because it works without any aditional apps through any browser all you need to do is replace www with M in the web address and it loads the mobile version which allows you to view video on facebook.

if you want to view youtube video via a browser you also need to switch to the mobile site.

its all stupid really i mean come on the hardware on the hudl is plenty to cope with full web pages rather than mobile versions. its annoying they stopped flash for android.
