Help Flash Player

Hi all,

I still have the Flash Player Settings app on my Gnex running 4.2.2, but do I still need it installed as I now believe Flash doesn't support Android?

The Chrome browser doesn't support flash, but the native browser does.

I keep my flash installed. :)

If you don't think you will use flash, get rid of it. Your just bloating up your device and browser if it supports it. Its also a possible security hole (not likely to be any major concern, but it hasn't been updated in almost a year so its a real possibility). Also, flash tends to be a cause for random browser crashes, so that's another reason.

If you do, keep it. But as mentioned, you need to use a browser that still supports flash. Many of them removed support for it.

I am running Flash 11.1, I think that was the last one for mobile phones? Anyway, it doesn't do much good. I got on a site yesterday for my son and it required Flash I had to use Dolphin Browser in desktop mode to even get the main page to load and then when I tried to go to the Flash page I get the error: "you must have the newest version of Flash". So, doesn't really seem to do much good anymore.

Since the original JB update, Flash is not supported so most browsers don't work if you try to play something that requires flash.

Try Boat Browser or Puffin Web broswer (Free version is a trial version).
