Root flash to straghttalk with donor phone

that is true iam curious though i did some reading isnt metro pcs off t-mobiles towers? and arnt they cdma? and wernt they sued by virgin for flashing phones to metro awhile back ago?

so its all right to hack copyright rom and locks on your phone but switching carriers is tabu...WTF are you serious

99.9% of the Roms are all based on open source code; which adheres to the GPL. The open source code has nothing to do with the FCC regulation. Switching carriers yourself is tabu yes; mainly because it's now a Law, you can't without permission from said carriers.

Edit: Just did some research and there is some good news though. Early this month a new Bill has passed its first stage; The Unlocking Consumer Choice and Wireless Competition Act gives us the consumer the ability to legally do whatever the F*** we want to our devices. So with that said there is still light @ the end of the tunnel. :-)
