Flash uninstall question

Ninko

Newbie
Hi there,

I recently installed Flash (old archived version) on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and later decided it wasn't worth the security risk so I went to uninstall it.

When I did, it said 'Uninstalling...' but it never said anything else, no complete or done message. So I went back to my apps list and it was no longer there, nor is either of my browsers using it anymore.

So my question is, do I assume it successfully uninstalled or is there another place/thing I could do to find out (I'm new to android).

Thanks

Ninko

I think you should have got a pop up saying it had been uninstalled but id assume its gone. Check in Application Manager in Settings.
Anyway if you downloaded it from Adobe's site theres no need to worry about security issues mate

Hi funkylogik,

Thanks for your reply.

I did check in Application Manager in Settings, no sign of it.

I did install it from Adobe's site, I was just worried because it's an old unpatched/unsupported version.

I was just concerned because it never said it had successfully uninstalled and me thinking 'Microsoft Windows', has it left things behide, the odd file, registry keys etc.

A lot of apps do leave folders behind mate youre right but theyre harmless.. cant do anything.
Adobe have stopped supporting flash for android so if you wana use flash then their archive is the best place to get it instead of from like a file sharing site.
Tbh android is a very safe platform. Its hard to do damage to an unrooted device but steer clear of "cracked" payed-for apps :)
