Help Flash won't update to 10.2

I have had my Galaxy S2 for two days and it is a truly wonderful device. However, on accessing the BBC News web site I am informed that I need to update my version of flash before I can view videos.

I have tried updating from the installed version 10.1, to flash 10.2 but, whilst it shows as being updated, videos still do not play. I have tried this a number of times to no avail. The same problem occurs on some other sites, but I can view YouTube videos without any problems.

Any advice welcomed.

Make sure Flash is enabled in the internet browser's settings, this can cause the misleading error message that it needs updating.

I am using the standard browser that comes with the S2, which does not seem to have an obvious way of accessing the browser setting to enable flash. Can you advise how to access this setting.

Thanks.

Hi Quboid,

Sorry if I am being a bit dumb but which menu are you referring to. My browser does not appear to have a menu? How do I access menu/more/settings?

Thanks

Hi Quboid,

Thanks for your continued perseverance.

The options in this menu are on two lines, i.e.

Add Wallpaper Search
Notifications Edit Settings

Under settings there is no option to enable plug-ins. There is an option Manage Application" but there is no browser application that has an "Enable Plug-ins" option.

Just to confirm that I am using a Galaxy S2 device.

Regards

Maybe you need to install flash form the market. Some phones can use it but for some silly reason it doesn't come with it installed.

I didn't think this phone was released yet? Where have you picked yours up so early from??? Only asking as I want to grab one myself.
