Root Flashable Zips Disappearing?

I'm currently using the latest version of cm7, along with a theme add-on that themes the lockscreen and power menu. When I flashed the carrier name zip file (the one on this forum that changes the name to Sprint), and rebooted, the lockscreen wasn't themed. When I went back into recovery to re-flash the the add-on and rebooted, the carrier name was back to Virgin Mobile. Any ideas why they are canceling each other out or what I'm doing wrong?

both of the themes have a framework-res.apk in the /system/framework folder? that would be why... you will have to make one zip that includes both mods

No, only one theme shows up on the /system folder at a time. First I copied the framework.apk from the lockscreen theme and put it in a folder on my sd card. Flashed the Sprint mod, went back into the /system folder, and did the same thing. Then I zipped the new folder with both apk's. When I went to flash it, it said installation aborted.

What ziggy was saying is that each mod rewrites the framework-res.apk to the one it uses. So they are overwriting each other. You can't flash one and then the other because of they way each works. :(

If you want both to work the easiest way would probably be to flash the lockscreen/power menu, and then pull that framework-res.apk from your phone and edit it to include the carrier name change. There are guides in the forums on how to make those changes. :)

Ok, I will take a look :) Sorry if I sounded noob-ish, I'm still learning how everything works. Thank you both!

If you can't find the guides for the carrier names or need help with ADB, just post what you need help with.

Mine got rid of the lockscreen to, but after a reflash of the lockscreen it was back and with the custom carrier text.

Well, my carrier name zip (and the others I have seen posted here) and that one (at least what I can tell from a cursory reading) both completely replace the framework-res.apk. You should not be able to flash one over the other and have both effects.
