Root Flashed droid to metroPCS. Have a few questions

I didnt see any thread suggestion answering my particular question.
So I just flashed it today and im wondering if I can flash a new rom and keep the radio flash, Im interested in getting ultimatedroid on it. Im also wondering if a kernel would affect it, I'd like to overclock my phone a bit.

I am not positive, but I think the NVM values that you edited to get your droid on Metro are not affected by flashing a rom. And it has been a while since I looked at the process, so if there are things that you modified in the /system folder to get Metro to work, make note that if you flash a custom rom, those edits will have to be made again.
