Root Flashed latest official RUU, bootloader now *** LOCKED (OOW) ***

Lurker
I have an old, unused DINC that I need to put back into use. Way back when, I had rooted it using unrEVOked, messed around with it, and returned it to stock.

The phone worked fine, but it was stuck with its original ROM, and wouldn't receive any OTA from Verizon.

I downloaded the latest OTA RUU (4.08.605.2) and ran it from my PC in an attempt to get it up to date. Unfortunately, it now is stuck in the bootloader. At the top of the screen, it says *** LOCKED (OOW) ***

I tried to flash the Froyo RUU - no dice. Wouldn't let me downgrade that way.

Not sure what to do now... Could somebody help?

Forgot to include - bootloader screen says
INCREDIBLEC XC SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-1.02.0000
MICROP-0417
TOUCH PANEL-ATMEL224_16ab
RADIO-1.00.03.04.06

Thanks for the link. I'm not sure I'll get very far - one of the first steps says to make sure USB Debugging is selected on the phone. I'm stuck at the boot loader, but I'll give it a whirl.

The RUU you flashed was most likely the bootloader update(added just an unlockable bootloader), rather than a full stock rom. There are a couple sites floating the file claiming it to be a full gingerbread RUU, but if you look at the file size, it is very small compared to what a stock image should be (150-180 MB ).

You may need to do a factory reset from the bootloader to get the phone booted.

why are you stuck in bootloader? if the phone wont boot, first try a factory reset in hboot

if it still wont boot, try running the 4.08.605.2 ruu again. http://pvillecomp.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/Images/Gingerbread-Stock_PB31IMG.zip

that you will have to flash in hboot. the ruu on pvilles site as sdraw said,is just the bootloader.

in a worse case, you can unlock from where you are. usb debug is for using adb inthe booted OS. you can start in the unlock directions at "fastboot devices" after placing the phone in fastboot(not hboot)
