FLASHED LOLLIPOP 5.0 ON MY NOTE VERY EASILY - NO ROOT

I followed the link on how to flash Lollipop on my note 3 and used the C4TECH tutorial video and links provided on YOUTUBE.
Took me 10 mins and no reported issues so far. One thing I will say is that it wipes virtually everything( SD is Safe) It's a Brand New set up.

Indeed, you donot need to be rooted, it is a stock Samsung leaked firmware :)

Let us know how it goes, I salute your pioneering spirit. :)

Funny this should appear in my alerts. Apparently for we 4.4.2 running SM-N9005 owners we can go back after flashing :) The flashing instructions could be a bit confusing for a novice so I'll do a bit of write up.

It is an official v5.0.0 Samsung leak, now whether it is the release candidate is yet to be confirmed (I doubt it) , it is meant to be excellent. It will not trip Knox, you don't have to root to try it and as I said you can go back to v4.4.2. I want it for ART (Android Run Time) which is meant to be much better than Dalvik, RAM usage is down, battery life is meant to be better and best of all TouchWiz has been slimmed down. We shall see.

If I understand correctly, this is NOT compatible with Verizon's SM-N900V. Is that correct or can I flash it to my Verizon without problems?

You understand correctly. This is NOT for any other variant of the Note 3. This is for the SM-N9005 ONLY do not, under any circumstances, try this in any other variant of Note 3 you will brick (destroy) it permanently. You have been warned.

Right got everything ready, for tomorrow night. I need a working Note 3 for work. It would take too much setting backup to do now, and I'm cream crackered. Guide, and do it tomorrow.

I did it last night, no issues whatsoever and it is fantastic, really, really nice. I urge anyone thinking of doing it to do so. I would say Lollipop is by far the biggest upgrade Android has had. I have know Android on Samsung Galaxy phones and "phablets" since Gingerbread on the Galaxy s2, and this makes Gingerbread to Icecream Sandwich look like a bug fix.

Seriously the device is like a new model. Is quicker, more responsive and the new look is delightful. From the new charging screen when the phone is switched off (energy trickles like a thin line of glowing been liquid from the the bottom of the screen adjacent to the USB port up to the battery which has energy shloshing about like a tank being filled - gorgeous.), to the new notifications on the lock screen. It is just superb.
