Root Flashed Optimus M back to stock MetroPCS but can't program service?

OK so I have an Optimus M on MetroPCS that I rooted and was using. Got a Galaxy Nexus with Verizon and decided to give the Optimus to my wife to replace her cheap MetroPCS dumbphone.

I forgot to unroot and tried to factory reset and bricked the Optimus. I hit the forums and learned about flashing and got a ROM and used LGNPST to flash it. Now it works perfectly like the day I got it. The phone is now showing Android 2.2.1 and wifi and memory card are fine... now I just needed to get it some phone service.

I happily called up MetroPCS to transfer the service on my wife's line over to the Optimus and when we got into the service programming and put in the MDN, phone number and SID the phone we exited and the phone rebooted fine but still didn't catch the MetroPCS signal. It seems like something is missing in the programming and the phone rep couldn't help me further.

Is there something missing? Something about programming the radio? In the programming menu I saw lots of other things to program like NAM1NMSID. Does anyone know what numbers I should plug into them so this thing sees the signal again?

Please help me give the gift of Android to my wife for the first time. Thanks!
