Help Flashed yakju but have a problem installing JB

I successfully flashed yakju, the device is up and running on that build now. I got the update notification, downloaded and resarted and got the red error box. Originally i thought it was because i was still unlocked as it was showing the unlocked symbol on boot. I relocked it but still get the error

Do i need to "flash stock + unroot"

I'm worried this will put me back to yakjuxw

Any help appreciated!!!!

You got the red symbol because something is not stock. I had the same problem as you. So I used WUGFRESH Galaxy Nexus tool and reflashed 4.0.4 stock/unroot and then jelly bean installed just fine.

Then root your phone again.

Not sure what tool you used.. but WUGFRESH will do this all for you.

Yes stay far away from Yakjuxw!! That's Samsungs rom, basically. And they would be in control of updating the Nexus. Yiiikes! I had the same rom when I bought my phone off Ebay.

Did you flash the stock recovery image too? OTA won't work if you have a custom recovery. You could take a look at the Galaxy Nexus ToolKit over at XDA Developers. There's a ton of good stuff about rooting and flashing stock roms.

Hi BreatheElectro, followed your description - it worked I am now on JB. I was on 4.0.4 rooted.
