Help Flashing international version with local firmware

Moonbat

Lurker
Hi, I bought an s2 on ebay it was advertised as an i9100P however I don't think that's actually correct as the model listed on the sticker behind the battery is i9100 and the SSN code is i9100GSMH.

The version info is:

PDA: i9100XXLP2
PHONE: i9100XXLP1
CSC: Unknown

I understand this is an original international version of the phone.

What I want to know is whether I can flash it with the three mobile version of ICS (GT-I9100_H3G_I9100XXLPQ_I9100H3GLP2_I9100NELP2.7z). Or is the international version of the phone not compatible with carrier specific firmware?

Many thanks

Welcome to the forum Moonbat and thanks for joining.

Any gt-i9100 is compatible with any carrier branded or unbranded gt-i9100 firmware. So youwon't have any problems flashing the 3uk ics firmware.

I used Odin to flash the h3g firmware - the process appeared to complete with no problems however now the phone not able to get past the startup screen it simply displays the galaxy s2 text then reboots and does the same thing again, only way to stop it is to remove the battery.

I put it into download mode but not into recovery mode.

So hmm yeah why didn't that work and what should I do?! I guess try and find a copy of i9100XXLP2 to put back?
