flashing new kernel need help.

I'm flashing a new kernel and this is only my second time...
I've tried 3 rom's so far and i want to try the checkrom dark knight and the kernel to go with it...

just wondering how to go about it and if the other guides are the same to go by?

do i install the rom via cwm and then do the same for the kernel??

That's how I do it...
 
do i just put the zip files in and boot into recovery or the unzip them like in cf and use odin then use cwm to install new rom

is there a step by step guide?

on flashing the rom then kernel.

ive seen a few where you clear everything but id rather not do that in recovery as im new to it
 
That link suggests doing a Factory Reset to flash a kernel!!! :eek:

CheckROM RevoHD v4 is the name of a ROM and installation instructions are here on this page in the forum:-

Dark Knight is the name of a kernel that was at one time developed by gokhanmoral from his Siyah kernel and intended specifically for CheckROM. However, this kernel was short lived and the last one was Dark Knight v2.5.2, released 16th Dec:

Development on Dark Knight appears to have halted and it no longer appears in the CheckROM's, Kitchen Pro. It has been replaced in favour of the Siyah kernel. Once you have installed CheckROM v4 you will see that you have the Kitchen Pro installed in your App Drawer and could flash the Siyah 2.6.12 kernel from there... I do not recommend this and would suggest you install it using this guide which includeds the correct way to install a kernel and also contains some settings that you might find useful:-
