Root flashing new rom.

ah, sorry about that,

i already have version v.2.9 installed. i would like to install v2.95.

not got a lot of time to spare, but it looks as if i do not need to do a full wipe. having not done this before i need to be sure how to do it as i need my phone fully working. (going on holiday tomorrow.)

am i right in thinking i can flash the rom over the top of my existing rom and i wont loose anything.

i realise i would still back up just in case.

by the way i plan on trying your rom in the future but i am trying to brush up on this hboot thing.

cheers.

thanks,

it says to; User from 2.9 wipe dalvik cache /partition

if this is all i wiped would i loose my settings and home page set up ete.

i am asking as it takes me about 3 to 4 hours to set everything back up and i am short on time.

i have only do a full wipe before installing roms, still a noob i suppose.

cheers.

ok, installed updated rom and extra script, no problems.

went straight on no problems, lost nothing.

off to pack now, before she comes in and catches me mucking about with my phone again, as she terms it.

cheers.

dalvik is not a partition so not sure why he says that. It rebuilds at next boot up anyway so nothing is lost. Dalvik-cache is where applications actually run from as opposed to from their .apk files.
