Root Flashing Radio...Possible?

As some of you know, I no longer use my Xperia, as the external antenna connector on the back damaged, and so the phone is trying to get a signal through a non-existing external antenna. Therefore, flashing the radio should reset this, so that it gets a signal using internal antenna?

I hear that George Hotz (Geohot) is going to have a go at it (Great news btw)

So, would it be possible, and is my theory correct or incorrect?

P.S. I tried installing custom ROMs, installing the stock ROM, etc...nothing fixes it

i dont think it work but flash a new baseband.
your radio is controled by baseband not through any firmware by itself
