Root Flashing Red Light on Charge - Dead

Hi, my phone shut off today and doesn't take charge. I thought it was because of my semi-busted wall-charger, but now that I'm home my phone still isn't turning on.

The charge light is flashing on for a few seconds and then off for a few seconds. Has anybody had this problem before or know how to fix it?

I've tried long hold, bootloader, removing the battery, I licked the battery and it seems to have a charge.

Have you taken the battery out and then held the power button down for a few seconds (with no battery in the phone). Then replace the battery and try again.

Did you say the light flashes when you charge? that's different than anything I've experienced. Normally, if the phone won't turn on, it also doesn't have the charge light work when it affects me.

Yeah, a few times.
I'm pretty stumped on this one.

I saw your update to the OP. Did you actually try turning the device on without a battery in it? If so, leave the battery out a bit longer and try one more time.

Then, when you've tried everything else, and are stressed out and frustrated...give up. Just stop trying things, and leave the phone plugged into the charger all night (8 hours minimum) with the battery in the phone. Then try again in the morning.

If even that doesn't work, I'm sorry, I'm out of ideas.

Yeah, I've been meaning to take it back to Best Buy, hopefully I still have insurance coverage on this thing. I would really hate to shell out $300 for a new phone.

Thanks for the replies, I'm just gonna wait.
My phone was charging for over 12 hours yesterday and when I got it today it was only at 78%.

I think my battery may be dudding out.
