Root Flashing Rom and Titanium Backup/SDK Help

This is the current state of my captivate. It is rooted AT&T on version 2.1-update 1, no custom roms or anything else.
I was following Mobile Tech Videos on youtube regarding how to flash. I did all the steps except that when I open Titanium backup (free version) it says I need to tick the "unkown sources" option. I couldn't find it and it turns out that I need sideloading to enable this option. I follow another video from Mobile Tech Videos and installed SDK. Now I'm not sure what to do. Can somebody help me please? :(

You can ignore that warning. It goes away with the paid version (which you should be using anyhow, it's faster and easier and inexpensive).

I want to continue using the free version. The only difference I know between the free and the paid version is that the paid version allows you to restore all your apps faster while the free one prompts you for every app you're restoring.

can somebody help me?

What ROM are you trying to flash? All you should have to do is root and then flash your ROM, it should have 'sideloading' enabled by default (Serendipity does, for sure).

I was trying to flash cog 3.04 at the time. I needed to enable sideloading so that titanium backup can work properly. It kept prompting me whenever I tried to make backups. As the phone was from AT&T, it didn't have the option where you can check off the box for "unknown sources". Either way, I figured it out using some SDK commands.
