Help Flashlight and Other Apps

I know there is a list of best apps for the android but I would like some specific advice on the best flashlight for the Rezound, if any. I am most concerned with software and any specific HTC UI compatibility.

Also, does anyone have experience with any apps we need to avoid due to compatibility with Sense 3.5 etc?

Just got my phone and noticed that the flashlite was not there so I'm interested in this too. Anybody willing to give us some advice?

BTW I love this phone, stopped waiting for the Nexus and glad I went with the Rezound. Actually I glad that they kept postponing the Nexus or else I may not have tried this phone.

Yea someone should post the best app to use..... might move this too app section of forums as it seems it isnt specific to rezound necessarily

I ended up downloading the Tiny Flashlight app, no real complaints. It doesn't have the high, med, low settings like the "stock" one, but it does the job. There are also different options for the lights effects.

alot. Why does an app like this need so many permission-network, phone calls, system hardware etc etc. It is just a flashlight. When we download these free apps are opening the door to data mining and other bad things?

I'm using Torch-Flashlight. It works with a commercial on the bottom of the screen. I miss the HTC flashlight and will follow this thread to find out who has the most similar app to it. I'll be replacing what I have with the winner.

I've seen this question a lot and I started wondering why it needed that information. I wonder if it needs those permissions in the event that you have a phone call or a text come in. I know I'd want most apps to close and allow me to take a call as opposed to just lock up and not allow me to answer. I started a thread awhile back to get people to post apps that take advantage of the phone's 720p but no one bothered to post in it, except for a few and Earlymon who suggested downloading an app that resizes the app so it takes up the full screen.

Quick update.

I installed Droid Light. It turns on the led and is bright. No glitz just a flashlight. Also, only needs permission for the camera light.
