Help Flashlight App For Moment

Yeah, according to that other forum, the current widget still has a bug that requires you to, at some point after restart, take 1 pic using the default camera flash. After that, the flashlight is supposed to work. I haven't tried it yet though... let me know how it works out for you.

Gonna ask JvRobert if I can post it here as well to make available for those wanting to try it out. It works great! Just remember you have to use the camera once with flash and then it works amazingly.

I talked to JVRobert and he said it was okay to post this here. He is gonna do some polishing on it and try to release a more finished version after trying to work the camera bug first. Maybe change the button for it as well. Just remember if you power off the phone for right now you have to use the camera with flash at least once before using the widget. Happy lighting!!

Thanx jvrobert for the free app! It works like it should and as described above. I did use the flash with Camera Magic app first as the stock camera still won't turn on the flash for me. and another thanx to latinmaxima for posting the link as I couldn't find it before.

Works! I will buy this if it ends up in the Market. Just needs a good icon with an on/off indicator. Would be nice if the requirement to use the camera with flash was eliminated.
 
So as of now JVRobert is trying to sort out the camera bug and make a different on off button. He considered having just a small circle button and it is red when on and solid colored when off for the widget. I also suggested maybe a flashight that is off when off and on when on. He also will keep this free as it is his first shot at an app and wants Moment users to enjoy. When he posts the update I will update the attachment above.
 
decided to go ahead and try the flashlight app and I cannot get it to work:o
I have downloaded it to my SD card, installed it from there using AppManager, restarted, used the camera flash, and then try the app and it flashes a black screen for a sec and then... nothing. Any ideas?
 
your welcome and yes it does. JVRobert really did us all a service by taking the time to tackle this. I truly am a little surprised someone else didn't first but I know WIFI and Bluetotth toggles and what not were first and this is really a moment only issue right now I believe.

I also looked for this for a couple of days when i 1st got my phone with no luck. This works perfectly. Thankyou so much. I didn't even have to take a picture for it to work.
 
This is really awesome, huge amount of thanks to the dev. This is going to be worlds more useful than any flashlight app from the market.

I'm wondering, is the desktop widget 1x2? it only looks like it's 1x1 but it's acting like a 1x2. I know that this is still very experimental so I'm sure that details like that aren't worked out yet, just want to make sure it's not something with my phone or home app. Cheers!

Ok first of all have to say to JVROBERT......GREAT FEN JOB DUDE you just made me love my moment even more lol thanks so much.....but here's the problem lol I don't have a cp ( my phone is my CP)....so I tried dowloading the file thru my phone like I've done other stuff before and it says ( unsucessful download unsupported file) is anybody else having this problem?? Please help lol
