Flashlight/Torch

Hi All.

Am I missing something

The only way I can turn on or off the Torch/Flashlight is by setting
a 2x1 widget on a screen and it's called "Assistive light"

Is this correct? Is there no icon for this?

I do wonder why that widget had to be 2x1.

You could just download a torch app from the Play Store, my favourite is this one

I use Widgetsoid to put a flashlight toggle in the notification pull down.

You can just shake your phone from the lock screen and the torch comes on!

I'm such a geek. I'd hate to admit how many times I've used the dual LED on me Droid X for random things. And I know I'll use the S3's LED as well. Thanks.
