Help Flick-panning messed up

Hey...What happened to the good ol' one swipe flick-panning on the android?!?! I just got the Android 2.3.4 update last night and now when I go to my apps screen, they've paged everything so that now when you flick, it will only let you go as far as the next page. So now if I want to go from the top of the apps list down to the bottom, it takes 4 flicks instead of one! And I could not find any setting that would allow me to switch back to the old method. Talk about dumb.

Anyway, to be fair, others may like this feature but I certainly don't. Would it not have made more sense to offer each as an option in Settings instead of forcing one method on everybody?

I feel the same way; an option would have been nice.
