Flip case ...should you use one. .

I use a tpu style case with a flip cover, and it has saved my screen twice. i will never go without a flip case for as long as I have this phone.

First time, I tripped while walking, and the phone fell out of my hands, but the flip cover closed in mid-air and landed screen-down on rocky asphalt. second time, the phone was sitting on my desk, flip cover closed, and a decoration fell off my shelf and landed on my phone, putting a dent in the flip cover, but my phone was fine.
 
I'm interested in a flip case for front screen protection. My question, which seems obvious, is that what does one do with such a case if they prefer to dock their phones? Is it even doable? The case I have in mind is for the Galaxy note 2, Spigen Ultra Flip Metallic, and the dock I use is a Samsung OEM.

I absolutely love my titanium flip cover. Perfect solution for this device without adding a lot of extra bulk around the edges. I love how the flip keeps the screen protected in my pocket and when its flipped open and turned to the back when I'm using it, it gives a little nice extra grip on the backside for using it one handed. Very happy with my purchase.
 
I personally couldn't stand the flip cover. It looks great but if you're used to pulling the phone out of your pocket and using it with just one hand it gets old in a hurry. I'll probably still use it on the weekends because i do really like the way it looks
 
Every time I put my flip cover back on I take it off 5-10 min later.
I keep trying to make it useful since I own it but it ultimately spends more time off my phone than on.
 
I had the flip cover on my Note I & Note II until one day it fell out of my pocket and put some scratches on the chrome bezel on the corner.
The flip looks great and does protect the screen, but does NOT protect the rest of the phone, especially the chrome around the outer edge. That really ruined my day scratching it like that. So off came the flip and on went this rubber & plastic cover made by "Cube" I got at the local mall that protects it better. has a lip around the screen and I have a screen cover on it too. Look nice too!

I am not use to it with those... Today i drop my phone accidentally and now i am thinking to but a cover,.. Which one will be best?
