Help Flip to snooze not working

Bought my wife a Motion a couple days ago. The flip to snooze does not work on her new phone. I have had mine for months now, rooted and detoxed, and it has always worked. Hers is all stock. Any ideas as to what might be wrong with her phone?

Did you go to settings and make sure that it's turned on

Have you tried calibrating it?
Go settings > display > motion sensor calibration
And follow instructions

I believe it's disabled by default.
