Floating Notifications app

I just found this app a day or so ago and it's pretty sweet. It gives you notification circles for just about any app on top of whatever you're doing. So if you're browsing a web page say and get a text, you can click it and read and reply(or don't) and go right back to whatever you were doing before. It's in alpha testing phase right now but so far it has been perfect for me.

[APP]Floating Notifications

One thing I found, when you install it you get two options: Package installer or Verify and install. I tried it first with Package installer and it wasn't working right. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it with Verify and install and now it's just fine.

I changed your link to the actual XDA link, this way they can download the APK from there direct.

For those that was to see a video

That's cool. I originally saw it at Max's youtube page and he linked to xda. Only reason I linked his page is because he detailed how to install it for people who may not know about installing from a downloaded file vs the play store. :)

I went into this app with an open mind...

After a few days with it I find myself absolutely loving it.

The notification circle rests not only across my normal screens, but my screensaver when docked. I instantly know when I have a new email, text message, or there is breaking news.

I agree with Thomas (above) that you are really missing out if you haven't given this app a try. A little more work to manually download it, but totally worth the effort. Hopefully we will see it in the PLAY store in the near future.

Where to get this app at and do u have to be rooted?

That information is clearly linked in the first post of this thread.

No, you don't have to be rooted.

Be sure you get the Alpha 3 version.

All you need to do is download the APK from the first link posted and enjoy, there are 3 version, as the poster mention install the latest version 3

Has anyone had problems with this app? I just installed it on my Sony Tablet S and somehow it turned on the "talking" feature, but when i go into settings it says it is disabled.

I had the same issue on my note 2, it didn't seam worth the hassle so i uninstalled for now. Liked the idea but gonna wait for the approved version to come out.

That is addressed in the XDA thread. I haven't had any problems with that.

If you're not then ensure TalkBack is disabled, preferably uninstall/freeze it if you don't use it"

Alpha 4 is out. Make sure to uninstall the old version before you install the new version. I use the "verify and install" option and it works like a charm.
