Flytouch 3 quick review

I'd like to update the Android 2.3 OS on my flytouch tablets-(III and VI) to Windows XP, Vista or 7. I'm tired of the lack of problems I'm having with Android and want to return to the good old days of the Windows blue screen of death, re-installing the complete operating system every few weeks, endless virus scanning, spyware, constant file hashes, endless software patches, constant defragmenting just so the hard drive doesn't stop completely, needing 4GBs of RAM just to get the OS to work (and a never-ending upgrade path to the newest CPU because the old one isn't powerful enough to boot the latest 4000 files needed to start up the OS including 60 versions NET framework needed to run software and).... to be continued. Seriously though, has anyone else tried the ADB procedure to root the Flytouch V, VI or whatever it is called today (not the III). I am about to try it based upon the only procedure I've found that works, using the ADB commands. Like other users, all the other programs do not work, Gingerbreak, Z4Root, etc. My drivers see the Flytouch for file transfer, I can enable USB debugging, etc. I think these are handy tablets for most uses except for the heavy battery drain which I can't seem to remedy and the "cell standby" issue which still seems a partially unresolved problem on the forums if I am not mistaken. I have rooted and ROM'd several other devices successfully-any feedback will be appreciated, humbly begging and thanks. :D

Hello,
Thank you, I am reading several positive comments about Flytouch III.
But, mine is just bad.
I am seeking your help, please, to sort out my tablet.
Problem:
My Flytouch III, Android 2.3, bought form China, starts normal but turns off by itself after 10-20 seconds.
Has anyone had such an issue?
Anyone who has a solution, please do share, I am desperated to fix my tablet.
Thank you in anticipation.
