Help Flytouch 3- touch screen not working

Received my Flytouch 3 this past Monday, and last nite after powering it on, was unable to move the slider to activate the OS...the only way I could shut it down was a hard shutdown by holding the power button in....tried the reset pinhole at the bottom and it had no affect...any suggestions as to how I can overcome this. I had been peeking previously at different menu items and was looking at the Screen Calibration but couldnt see what it was all about...pressed on the crosshairs a couple of times and trying dragging it as well...that may have had something to do with it..dunno

Calibration is to tell the screen where you're pressing(or think you are). Try hooking up a USB keyboard and mouse to help you get back to calibration then press the targets as they appear. From there you should be OK. If you still have the problem after calibrating, then you may want to try upgrading the latest firmware and if that doesn't work, return it.

I have a similar non responsive touchscreen problem. If I swiped at the slider enough times, it would eventually catch hold and unlock. My problem is, the usb mouse would not work on the calibration screen. I know the mouse is detected because it showed up un the screen, and trying to click a slider resulted is a buzz, but no movement. Clicking the calibration targets had no effect. I could shut it down by swiping at the off slider the same way I got it to unlock. The problem is, once unlocked, pressing anything had no effect. Any suggestions?

i recently got a flytouch 3 it worked perfectly fine but yesterday i downloaded the display widget and i turned of the backlight by mistake, now the tablet starts up but goes blank when it gets to the homescreen, can someone please help me, is there anyway i could turn it back on, i was told i should reset it but i got it with some apps already preinstalled and i dont want to lose my data, please help
