Help Flytouch Battery Charge

OK,

So I have this new Flytouch 3 and I left it off, charging all day. I power it on and for a moment it says 78% then says "full charge" or something. So I use it on for a while on battery and it lasts a bit over 2 hours then shuts down so my first question (since I've read somewhere that it should run for 6 hours and last 10 on standby, the eBay advert says 6 to 10 hours but then that's eBay I guess) is what's the normal expected usage for the Flytouch 3 "in use" and on standby?

The other thing I found was that when I powered it up again connected to the mains (so it was running at the OS within 5 mins of being plugged in) both the screen & an application called "spare parts" reported the charge as 78% so my second question is why is the tablet shutting down when it apparently has that much charge in it? Is there a way of adjusting the shutdown parameters so it stays running longer?

The Adapter I have is a 5V/2000ma unit. The pad has been upgraded to the Tim 4E firmware.

I put a shorter version of the above up to the seller (eBay):

The advert says the unit will last 6 to 10 hours but it only lasts a bit over 2 hours then shuts down. When I power it up again (connected to mains so it was running at the OS within 5 mins of being plugged in) the charge is reported as 78%. I was downloading new applications and whilst I accept that might make a difference I don't see how it could make that much difference. Any ideas why the unit is so different from the stated 6 to 10 hours?

He responded:

10 hours is the maximum standby time not working time. There are quite a few elements to determine the performance of battery life such as wifi, loudspeaker, brightness of color and so on. This time scale is set by manufacture. But 2 to 3 hours working time is quite normal when you have program running or with the wifi on. Even a laptop can only about 2 hours so it depends on how you use it. If you leave screen off just for listening music with headphone, it will certainly last longer. I hope If you have any further question please feel free to ask.
